I want to discuss my very basic definition of Health and Wellness with you. I always like to ask questions that will get us to the right answers for YOU.

 

1.  What is Health & Wellness to YOU?

Every person is different. What works for one, might not work for another. We are all unique in body, mind and spirit. You need to discover what YOUR body needs to enable you to reach the ultimate state of health and wellness.

 

2. Do you know what your body really wants?

May I let you in on a secret?
*Do you love and accept yourself?

If you can learn to love and accept yourself, just the way you are, you can get to know yourself. Imagine loving yourself the way you love your best friend. You always want the best for her, don’t you? Discovering your own health and wellness, works exactly like that. Get to know your body and take care of it, just the way you would do for your dearest best friend. If your best friend comes to you with a challenge, you are going to take the time and help her discover the origin of the challenge as well as the best possible solution. Why not do that for yourself as well?

 

3.       Why not take a Golden hour for yourself, every day?

Spend time with yourself. Make time. Do whatever you need to do to feel good and get in sync with your body. It might be a long walk or a luxurious bath. Make time for yourself as you would make time for your best friend. Don’t you think your body will start telling you what it wants?

 

4.       Why not embrace a healthy lifestyle?

….because that is what your body will give back to you -               

What you put into your body, is what your body will give back to you. Just imagine what will happen if you put petrol in a diesel vehicle…

Your body works the same, if it is Health, Wellness, Energy and Vitality you want, give your body the healthy stuff…

 

5.       Have you ever taken the time to really think about balance?

Balance is one of the most important aspects in life. Do everything with balance in mind. Eat a balanced meal, balance your time equally between work, hobbies, family, play time etc. When balance is off for one thing, don’t you think another might be compromised? Always consider balance for a harmonious, peaceful, healthy and happy life.

 

6.       What if you start listening to your body’s messages?

Your body loves you in spite of how you may treat it.

Your body communicates with you, and you must listen to its messages.

  • *Are you willing to get the message?
  • *Are you willing pay attention and make the necessary corrections?
  • *Are you willing to give your body what it needs on every level to bring it back to optimal health?

The body is always talking to you.

  • *What do you do when you get a message from your body, such as a little ache or pain?

Usually, you run to the medicine cabinet or the drugstore and take a pill. In effect you say to the body, “Shut up! I don’t want to hear you. Don’t talk to me!” That is not loving the body.

When you get the first ache or pain or the slightest thing seems to go wrong, sit down, close your eyes, and very quietly ask yourself, “What is it I need to know?” Listen a few minutes for the answer. It may be as simple as “Get some sleep.” Or it may be stronger.

If you want your body to work well for you for the long term, then you need to be part of the body, mind, and spirit healing team.

  • *Do you realise the importance of self – love and acceptance?

Work WITH your body, not AGAINST it.

  • *Now, can you see the value of embarking on a self-discovering journey to explore your own health & wellness?
